Game Summary

7th Grade Volleyball Beat WCH

The 7th grade volleyball team hosted Washington Court House last night and won both sets by scores of Set 1 25-7 and set 2 25-19.
Coach Perkins said the following regarding the match:
"This season we challenged the 7th grade to do acts of kindness. One of the acts of kindness was to wear colors that represent Kidney Transplant Awareness.
One of our team members has a mother that is in need of a new kidney. She has been barreling kidney failure since early Summer. We thought it would be nice to wear the color green, get her mother a gift, and wear green ribbons in our hair.
Today, as we played against Washington Court House the girls played exceptionally well and took the win. This win was dedicated to Brooke Lawson, mother of our athlete.
In our first set, Josie Rhoades dominated in serves. She sent 17 consecutive serves over the net. Paisley Cox followed with 4, Carey Skeens with 3, and Chanel Captain with 1.
In set 2, Phoebe Holland served 4, Josie Rhoades served 5, Paisley Cox served 6, Carey Skeens served 6, Chanel Captain served 3, and Marianne Mycroft served 1 successful serve."
