Lady Tigers over the Lady Cards

The Triad Lady Cardinal basketball team traveled to West Liberty for an Ohio Heritage Conference game against the league's North division leaders Monday night, and the result was a 64-29 drubbing at the hands of the Lady Tigers.

"West Liberty runs their offense so well, and when they get their shots, they knock them down," said Triad coach Jeff Merklin.  "We've improved a lot, but obviously we still have a ways to go to compete with that program."  West Liberty got off to a fast 18-5 start and it was never a game after that.

Alea Ferguson led Triad with 8 points, and Makenzie Cauley hauled down 7 rebounds.  The Lady Cards are now 10-8 on the season, 7-6 in the OHC, and play host to Mechanicsburg in another league game Saturday night.
