A big 30 point finish in the 4th quarter allowed the Triad Lady Cardinals to pull away from the Bellefontaine Lady Chiefs in a Monday night non-conference game at Triad.

Emma Vanninen led the Lady Card explosion with 10 4th quarter points, and when Bellefontaine had to foul late in the game, Triad was up to the task, nailing 7 of 8 in the final frame.

For the game Vanninen led Triad with 17 points and 10 rebounds.  Audrey Lightle chipped in with 11, including 9 in the first half when Triad's offense needed a boost.  Freshman Cati LeVan had a perfect shooting night, going 2-2, including a trifecta, from the floor and 4-4 at the line for 9 points.  Kristin Bailey had her usual excellent defensive game with 4 defensive boards and 3 steals.

Foul shooting was key to the Lady Card victory.  Triad was 11-14 at the line, while Bellefontaine was only 10-23, including 6 misses in the last quarter.

Triad improves to 10-7 on the season.  The Lady Cards travel to Ohio Heritage Conference North leader West Liberty Salem on Thursday night.
