Triad sophomore Cole Pond saw his golf season come to a close Thursday after competing in the Division III district tournament at Beavercreek Golf Club.
Pond carded a 102. He shot a 54 on the front and a 48 on the back.
The top three teams and the top three individuals not on a qualifying team moved on to the state tournament next week in Columbus.
Newton Local won the district title with 343, Ft. Loramie was second with 344 and Seven Hills came in third with 349.
Individual qualifiers included Georgetown’s Lance Sininger with a 78, Middletown Christian’s Josh Swartz with an 80 and Mechanicsburg’s Jake Shoemaker with an 81.
