Boys 2nd, girls 6th at Edgewood

On a clear and cool early spring evening, the Warriors track teams continued their early-season success at the BIll Melloh Invitational hosted by Edgewood. For the third consecutive meet, the Warrior men captured second place, while the girls team finished sixth.

Davy Hardie captured the top spot in the 800 in a life-time best 2:06.43. The 4x400 quartet of Hardie, Trey McWhorter, Brandon Huddleson, and Samuel Packer also ran to victory, running the Warriors' 4x4 win streak to three to open the season.

The girls team was sixth in a strong field. Zoe Huffman finished third in the 800, and Shaelynn Hegarty was second in pole vault to lead the Warriors.

Both teams are back in action for a JV meet hosted by McAuley Thursday and at the Clash of the Titans hosted by Sycamore Friday.
