The Warriors home opener didn't produce the results everyone had hoped for as the Springfield Wildcats boys and girls varsity teams rolled to wins Tuesday at Eastern Lanes. After opening the season with two road wins, the Warriors struggled to find the pocket and to convert spares. The boys varsity team made less than half of their spares and fell to the Wildcats 2209-20146. Gabe Taulbee led Lebanon with games of 214-192.
The varsity girls struggled through the same problems. Lebanon led by 19 pins after game one but it was all downhill from that point on as Springfield pulled away for a 1912-1764 win. Senior Amanda Rearick bowled well in the loss with games of 194-170.
