Bellefontaine won the fifth man tie breaker to defeat Kenton Ridge on Tuesday at Liberty Hills Golf Club.
Both teams shot a 171 with the Chiefs fifth score being a 44 to the Cougars 46.
Leading the Chiefs (and tying 2 KR players for match medalist) was freshman Liam Harris with a 42. Riley Wilcoxon, Nate Kurtz, and Evan Standley all shot 43, while Dillon Robb shot the tie breaking 44. Derek McNutt added a 45.
We knew Kenton Ridge was much improved and they showed up excited and played well. We had a great group effort with a tight bunch of scores. We'd like to get those scores into the thirties so that's a goal going forward. Getting an exciting win in our first league match is definitely big.
For the JV, Jared Salyer shot 44, Simon Stolly 46, Jacob Scott 50, and Zane Warren 66.
